WLSK began broadcasting in 1979 as the sister station to WLBN (1590), which went on the air in 1953. The L-S-K call sign represents the area of Lebanon-Springfield-Kentucky. J.T. Whitlock was the longtime manager of the station and become one of the owners, with J.B. Crawley and Cherry Gibson, in 1985.
The WLBN/WLSK legacy of service to this area is long and proud. We continue that legacy, today, with a goal of providing Marion and Washington counties with timely and professional radio service.
